Caffeine is contained in many beverages such as tea, coffee, colas and other drinks that many children and adults drink daily. What you may not beware of though is that caffeine is a strong diuretic. Yes you did know that. Well did you also know that caffeine is a nervous stimulant?

In fact caffeine is a nerve toxin. For every cup of tea, cola or drink that contains caffeine, your body will need approximately three cups of water to relinquish the effects of the caffeine. Being a nerve toxin this will stress the bodies hormones and trigger a strong immune response that may give a person the impression he or she has a higher energy level than they really have. Many people who drink a caffeine drink with alcohol are 4 times more likely to suffer a problem with dehydration than some body who drinks one or the other.

A student who drinks in excess of 10 cans of a caffeine drink such as a cola or popular drink drank by many people now days, are confusing there bodies into thinking they are thirsty all the time. So keep drinking the same drink that is making them thirsty in the first place.

The answer, water. Plain and simple free from the tap water. Your body needs it and thrives on it. The more you deprive your body of clean water the more your body kicks back at you. Remember the last time of heavy drinking and the next day you felt so hungover from the night of heavy drinking. That's your body doing it's up most to teach you to drink more water.

If you walked in the hot sun for long enough, say in a desert in the 40 degree heat, would you take beer or water? We all know the answer. But if you didn't make it because you ran out of water, no body would be surprised. Most of would realise the lack of water could kill you. But when your next at the pub or club drinking in excess remember the dehydration is telling you the same thing.

Along with caffeine your body will have to deal with Aspartame.
