The world’s first online vegetarian and vegan marketplace has been developed and launched by Leeds entrepreneur Jane Marshall, a health and wellbeing expert, author and speaker.
Planet V is the first offering of its kind, providing healthy lifestyle choices, ethically sourced and produced goods and a community for those interested in the vegetarian and vegan lifestyle.
In addition to celebrity endorsement, Marshall has secured support of a broad range of international brands across the healthcare, food, accessories and beauty sectors.
Planet V also offers smaller vegetarian and vegan providers a seldom-found opportunity to sell and promote their products in a retail environment.
Filling a further gap in the market, the site provides a comprehensive directory of companies servicing the vegetarian and vegan communities – from hotels to restaurants, spas to social groups.
Marshall’s previous role was as the healthy college manager at Bradford College where she implemented a health and wellbeing plan, which was integrated into a Government programme and rolled out nationally.
This was the genesis of the idea that became Planet V. Keen to promote the benefits of “conscious-eating” and lifestyle to as many people as possible Jane undertook two-years of planning before launching www.planet-v.co.uk as a destination for people looking to choose a healthier lifestyle.
Marshall said: “Vegetarian and vegan are simply terms to describe a lifestyle choice, Planet V is focused on supporting the growing number of individuals who are becoming concerned with ethical and environmental purchasing and healthy living – this has only increased with the recent food scares.
“We wanted to give a destination where they can get some guidance and discover new brands – as well as providing a platform for companies who meet these needs to showcase their products and services.“
