Paleo diet helps you lose weight

www.bodybynature.co.uk

“Who among us hasn’t tried cutting calories and increasing exercise?…At six feet tall, I weighed 203 pounds. It seemed normal to me because I live in Mississippi (the fattest of our fifty states), and because I was raised the American way, on fast food like everyone else.

I was introduced to a term that would change my life. Paleo. I began to notice the effects food had on me and how they made me feel. For the first time since early childhood, I no longer needed a prescription for acid reflux.

It is now 2012, and I am still six feet tall but only 165 pounds and just 5% body fat. We all have goals, whether it is losing weight, gaining lean muscle, or just being in good health. The most important thing to remember is that they are attainable for everyone. And you don’t have to do it alone:

I want to lose weight

www.bodybynature.co.uk

The first step!

So what’s the first step you need to take before starting a programme?

1- Decide on a goal
... Knowing what you want to achieve will be one reason you will see results. Going into anything in life and especially the gym without having a clear goal in mind is a good way to decree the chances of you making good progression. You can be working hard, doing little bits of this, little bits of that but with no real results to show for it. Having that end goal in mind or even better writing it down, allows you to make clear decisions on what you need to do now and in the future.

The more details you can write down the more chance there is of you seeing results. What people do “I want to lose weight” what people should say “I will lose 10% body fat by ......” or “Today’s date is ...... and I look stunning in my size 8 dress”

2- When you want to achieve your goal
Be specific with this, not just “in 12 weeks.” Set a specific date e.g. August 26th 2013 I will be ............ . It’s shown by writing down when you want to achieve you goal you are 16 times more likely to achieve it them just thinking it. This is because you are now committed to these goals and as now you have set specific dates everything you do, day in day out, your body will filter through all the information on a day to day basis and lead you onto the right path.

3- Why do you want to achieve you goal
This is so important, have a real think why you want to achieve this goal. Not just because you want to get fitter, that’s never the reason. An example of this is a guy saw once and I’ll never forget what he said. I asked him why does he want to achieve his goal, and he replied “to get fit”, what else I asked, “That’s it” he said. After about 10minuties of going back and forth, he paused and then said “to tell you the truth, my wife just have birth to our first son and I am scared I’m not going to be here in 5-6 years time. My dream is to have a son and be able to play football with him in the park and watch him grow up, but the way I’m going I am afraid I won’t be here.”

That’s a true reason, I’m not saying yours will be the same, it could be to increase confidence, to fit into a size 8 dress for a summer party, it could be anything.

Why this helps?
There will be good times and there will be hard times on your journey, but when the hard times come, think back to your goal and why you are doing this should be enough to help you make the right decision and to get you back or keep you on track to see fantastic results.

Why You Should Avoid Fast Food at All Costs

Why You Should Avoid Fast Food at All Costs

If you haven’t already, take a couple of hours to watch the films Super Size Me or Fast Food Nation. After watching these films, you can see first hand how fast food causes severe damage to your body – even if you don’t consume it for every meal of every day like in one of the films. Fast food is nothing but a concoction of harmful and health-damaging chemicals which can easily be understood if you were to think for a moment how any restaurant could offer a double cheeseburger for only $1.
Most recently it was uncovered that these $1 cheeseburgers, along with the rest of McDonald’s’ beef and chicken, were actually harnessing ‘pink slime’ scrap meat covered with ammonium hydroxide.

Not only does this fake meat provide no nutritional value at all, but it is chemically contaminated from ammonia, the toxic cleaning agent found under the sink. The meat is actually fat trimmings and connective tissue that are separated from the bone – scrap meat that is not fit for human consumption. The ammonia treatment is in response to the danger of contamination from salmonella or E. coli, but the scrap meats themselves are more likely to contain pathogens. Despite the chemical treatment, the meat is still in the line of fire for contamination.

Additionally, McDonald’s McNuggets contain 7 different ingredients making up the ‘meat’, many of which contain sub-ingredients. Instead of using real meat, the ingredient list utilizes sodium phosphate, safflower oil, wheat starch, dextrose, and autolyzed yeast extract – a particularly dangerous substance very similar to the toxic MSG. Along side with these ingredients comes the use of dimethylpolysiloxane, a silicon substance used as an anti-foaming agent and often found in breast implants and silly putty.

Of course the use of these ingredients is not limited only to McDonald’s. In fact, all of the fast food restaurants are guilty of using them. The worst part? They are aware of the destructive nature behind these ingredients, but truly couldn’t care any less. The truth behind such a statement can be exemplified by Taco Bell’s attempt to create a drive-thru diet where individuals would supposed to lose weight by eating fast food. It was only a few years ago when Taco Bell announced the “Drive-Thru Diet”, where they showcased their foods low in fat. But what they don’t tell you is that even if their food has 9 grams of fat, it is still made up of numerous ingredients contributing to the global health decline.

While the reasons for the influx of fast food consumption are many, one primary one is the usage of psychological advertising. Being one of the most powerful tools to reach both the conscious and subconscious, advertising plays a huge role in how society is ran today, and that includes which foods we eat. What’s more, children are much more influenced by what they see and hear, and research proves it. A study conduced late in 2011 showed that 71 percent of children will choose junk food like french fries over apple slices when given coupons for each of them. The number dropped only to 55 percent when parents encouraged children to choose the apple slices. But the desired reach does not stop at direct advertising and influence.

How do i get fit?

www.bodybynaturesupplements.com

“My health problems had been rapidly getting worse, and by January of 2009 I was completely falling apart. I was still having chronic urticaria and angioedema, acne, and no energy, and had added daily migraines, daily stomachache, and chronic heartburn to my list of symptoms. I could barely get out of bed, was having trouble thinking, and my brain seemed to just space out….

For the past three years, I have not had any migraines like I used to get. I have tons of energy, and started running races (up to a half marathon) and doing triathlons. I have not had any urticaria or angioedema. I haven’t had any moments of my brain spacing out, and only get the dizziness/off balance feelings when I accidentally eat some gluten…

My family is happy that I am healthy now, and some of them have even gone gluten free themselves….
...
[current] typical meals: shrimp and veggie omelet, salad with scallops, grass-fed roast with carrots and root vegetables.“
