What is Amylose?

www.bodybynature.co.uk

What is Amylose?
Amylose is a molecule found in starch that contains 100-100,000 glucose units that are all tightly packed together making it more diff...icult for the body to digest.

What happens if someone consumes too high levels of Amylose?
As the body finds it extremely difficult to digest, it starts to filament in the lower intestine causing:
- Bloating
- Gas
- Heart burn (from the excess pressure)
- Poor digestion
- Increase body fat
- IbS

What foods contain high levels of Amylose?
- Potatoes
- Wheat (inc pasta, bread and rice)
- Corn
- Oats
- Barley

What do I do if I have one or more of the above symptoms?
- Start reducing the foods that contain high levels of Amylose, it’s as easy as that.
